Mirrored UV faces are randomly swapped?

Hello everyone!

The Revolver is almost ready but I am having a nagging problem that I have no idea how to fix. I want to mirror some parts of the model so that I can make my layout cleaner. Problems is that on some parts some faces seem to be swapped which messes up my texturing. In the first image I selected only one island by selecting one face and then CTRL+L. You can see that some faces are being swapped/overlapped. Moreover, this happens EXACTLY where the problems appear in the second image. How can I fix this? Here is the .blend file if you want to take a look at it. I would also appreciate some general feedback on the model as I would like to make it for a portfolio. I know I am still a beginner but I am willing to do what's necessary to make a good product.
