Hey guys,

This is something I started about 9 months ago, but never finished. I wanted to get some honest opinions, if you guys think I should texture this or would it even be worth it. Dont worry about hurting my feelings, just want some honest answers if I should finish it.

Thanks guys

Hey -B,

in all seriousness looks great! I think you should go for it and texture it. It is my general opinion that if you started something you should also finish it. :)
The question is since you did it in zbrush (from the looks of it) how long it would take you to make a retopo of the lowpoly?
As you know I do all my work in max so I can't really weigh in on the answer.

Getting the lowpoly done and the unwrap would probably be the huge time factor in that.
If it would be a complete nightmare mode then I don't know.

Other then that I can totally see that Musket looking gorgeous with a nice polished wood and maybe some gold elements on it.

here is a quick thought on the stock end already:

Hey Tim,

Yeah when I started it I was just fooling around and before i knew it, I had this 80 million vert musket, A big part of me feels like I was wasting time if I don't finish it, even if retoping it is a nightmare, but at the same time, if it looks to basic, then I think, well whats the point.

I'm taking tomorrow and Friday off for my birthday, If I can get it retoped in that amount of time, then Ill finish it, if not, then Ill scrap it.

Thanks so much for the weigh in.

Definitely has lots of potential if you could get the low poly working
