Hey guys Im working on a sniper and Im getting these weird artifact lines where the low poly is triangulating.

Just some background info, Ive played around with the Substance painter Bake settings (Dilation 32, distance 0.7) as shown on Droid tutorial.
Ive no idea the issue.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Ok i fixed the triangulation artifacts, by removing a few hidden T vertices.

But now as you see there are many artifacts all over.... does anyone have any advice for these?

Hey there :)

Glad you solved the issue about the vertices, artifacts are lurking around the corner quite often but fortunately problems can be solved.
It looks like the areas you marked receive normal information from other areas, this can be caused by a few reasons.

For example: If your Max Frontal & Rear distances have a value which is quite large. Another source could be your unwrap when 2 UV shells are (partially) overlapping :notquitesure:
Not quite sure where the problem comes from in this specific case, but it's worth checking your unwrap if you have overlapping + check you bake-settings again :enlightened:

Side-note: If you experience more problems in the future, please post a topic in the most related section of the forum, in this case:
3D Talk General > PBR Texturing (For now it's no problem, just a little heads-up for posting new questions :enlightened: :thumbsup_dude: )
