I can't bare sitting in silence whilst working, so I always have something playing like music, podcasts, livestreams and such, which could be the reason I'm not so productive...
Anyway I'm always struggling to find something moderately entertaining, yet not too engaging so I don't have to pay too much attention and long enough to fill up many many hours. There's just not enough content for me!! :icon_miffed:

What does everyone else do during working hours? Any recommendations?

Music (usually movie soundtracks), TV shows/movies (mostly bad ones, so I don't get too distracted), tutorials, YouTube videos, Twitch streams... it depends on my mood and the task I'm dealing with. But yes, like you, I have a hard time working all in silence.

I can't imagine playing even the simplest of shows, without it becoming just noise to fill the silence. Same with tutorials and such. Best content for me is podcast but the ones I like don't release episodes very often. I'm not good at finding new stuff I like either.

What do I do while working? I really can't tell because I'm a 4th-year medical student so during work I have to take patient's history and diagnosis with little knowledge I have. Haha :D
But if you ask me what I do during my free time, I'll answer 3ds max right away!
And yeah, I work on 3D stuff all in silence. But it can build up tension so easily I can't do it anymore so I need a break and listen to music, watch movies then I get back on track again. :icon_sunny:

Yeah sometimes I enjoy a bit of silence, but if had as much silence as I work I'd go insane, literally. :icon_beauty:
Can't remember the last time I saw an actual movie, though I saw the recent season of Game of Thrones a week or so ago, it's unbelievably amazing, I can't even put it into words. :icon_yes: Now that I mention it, it's lead me to listen to a tonne of panels and interviews with GRRM and/or the cast of GoT... :icon_getmecoat:

Am I the only one who still haven't watched any episode of Game of Thrones yet? :D
I know it's such a good series that makes you addicted to. And that's the reason I stay away from it for the time being. :icon_smile_rofl:
I've watched all of Breaking Bad episodes and didn't do anything else. Haha
This one is also a good series. Have you watched it?

Yeah Breaking Bad was possibly the first movie-like TV show I saw. Back when I used to think all TV shows were just terrible sitcoms. Was blown away by how awesome it was, and with the fact you can get emotionally invested because it's so long.

Game of Thrones is kind of the same, except it's fantasy so anything can happen. All your traditional Hollywood traits go out the window. Characters can die, people do bad things and good things, there's no just 'hero' and 'villain' but more grey area. Of course it's just really epic to see real fantasy come to the big screen, the last thing I can think of that was 'awesome fantasy' was Lord of the Rings, most things after that were just horribly cliche almost kids movie-like fantasy (looking at the Hobbit).

But you're certainly not wrong in saying it'll suck you in. Maybe not at first, but there's a point of no return about a season in. ;)

Talking about grey area and the sense of human being, the movie I love the most has it all.
And it's called The Last of Us. Yeah, it's not a movie but this game even had me emotionally invested than Breaking Bad.
I felt really attachted to Joel and Ellie very much. I cared for them like they're real people I met in real life.
Hope you've experienced those emotions too.

Afraid not as I don't have a Playstation, it certainly looks interesting though. Wouldn't mind also plaything through Red Dead Redemption but other than that I don't know any good games exclusive to PS (and controllers kind of suck :icon_no:). That does remind me of The Witcher 3 though, or specifically the whole Witcher series. Definitely the best game series I've ever played. Story is incredible and it really gets you immersed and invested, especially if you end up reading the books too.

Haven't played the Witcher before. Never know it has that good story. :icon_eek:
I always thought it was some kind of porn-ish game. lol
By the way, I have no PS too. Just watched The Last of Us playthrough no commentary on Youtube. :ok:
