Well i find it funny. A 9 year old title what got a remastered Version is still better than the newest game of the Game Series. Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare was my favorite Call of Duty ever after CoD2. I started playing Ego-Shooter with CoD2 so this was my fist love :P CoD4 was also great like i said. Modern Warfare was also great but not so good as CoD4 because there was not the possibility to mod the game. I didnt understand why they still follow the route with games in the future, maybe you can explain it Tim as a member of a studio that develop games. I would love to have a new AAA game that plays in the time of the WW2 with a good Single-Campaign.

What is your opinion about this guys?

Maybe you can arrange something Tim :D

For me the best Call of Duty was definitely the first when it came out. I never felt so much immersion before in any game, really drew me in and also got me into modding. We made a mod called merciless mod, basically making everything more bloody then it used to be where I was in charge to modify the character textures. (Couldn't model back then) We continued the mod for Call of Duty 2, and made it so brutal that one big german CoD news site made a statement that they won't report about us anymore :icon_smile_rofl: It was a much loved mod that had thousands of players on the servers and some were really angry about that. Oh boy.. always funny to look back to it now: http://www.moddb.com/mods/merciless-mod <- Check out our trailer. The good old days :icon_yes:

Yeah other then that I would also like to see more ww2 games again and hope they produce more. I think the trend might be getting back to it, seeing how BF1 seems to be doing very well and all. There is also a kickstarter game called Battalion 44 which looks very promising. I sure hope it will revive the spirit of these good old games. For me it was Day of Defeat Source which I played for many years!

Those games were everywhere back then and the market got over saturated by them. I think it was really Modern Warfare 4 + the Iraq war back then, that made everyone settle on the modern war games. In the game industry where so many many millions are at stake it's all about market research. They don't want to take big risks, well some do. DICE from all I heard had to work hard on convincing management to produce a game set in WW1. Let's hope it sets off a new trend where we will see more games like that again.

Yeah i have to agree you. Call of Duty 1 and the addon of it United Offensive was very good i bought it after CoD4, because friend told me that this was so great. I still get goosebumps when i think back to the missions in the ardennes it reminds me a lot of the Band of Brothers series.

Also my hope is that the trend is going back to this. I think also BF1 seems to be doing very well and lead more into this direction. In any case, it was an important and good step of Battlefield to make something different then Call of Duty.

Here are two screenshots of the Remastered Singleplayer Campaign :)

That looks really good. Did you buy it? The multiplayer of Modern Warfare was definitely awesome, I wonder if it still holds up.

Yes i bought it because of the old times. In my opinion Modern Warfare is the maingame of the Legacy Edition and Infinite Warfare the small goodie :D. It really plays like it was then. It's just fun to play CoD again (Singleplayer and Multiplayer).

Thanks for posting those screenshots. Great to see! I doubt I'll play it anytime soon due to time reasons but I also heard good things about the single player.
Haha poor John Snow.. getting killed again? This time no red lady coming to the rescue I am afraid :icon_doh:
