I recently found about that there's two great alternatives for Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Affinity Photo and Designer. Both of them have been out for a Macintosh for a while but now they are also available for Windows.

In my opinion the pricing is more than reasonable compared to Adobe's. No subscriptions. Now that Affinity Photo launched, it has -20% discount. Normal price is 49,99€.

I tried both of them during their beta phases and found out them to be very much like Photoshop and Illustrator, so there's very little to learn in both of them.

That is certainly a much better price. Thanks for sharing !

I might try that out at some point, I really like the UI they have.
How similiar is it when it comes to the layer effects and stuff like that? I think that would be the only challenge to adopt under which tab those things hide that we are used from Photoshop.

Resemblance is very clear. I think they both have the same stuff. I specially liked how it automatically masks effect like 'Curves' to single layer just by dragging the effect over the layer and dropping it there. I don't think this was even possible in Photoshop.

Here's the right side panel:

Very cool! Thanks for showing that Gif! I also like the UI of this product, looks very modern and clean which is always a good thing.

Wooah, that is pretty cool! You could use that for some ingame graphic in a bunker or airport map or something like that. Looks good! :)

I don't think it will replace Photoshop/Illustrator. Ever.
