Smoothing Groups precedence over Baked Normals

Hi everyone. It's been quite a while since I last posted here. After an hiatus on 3d modeling studies I decided to model this car alarm remote control. Everything bakes fine on SP, but when rendering the model it shows some "sunken" parts on the rubber buttons. Tried to do some retopo on the buttons...

You are awesome. :realization: This is my first project after following the grenade tutorial. It's been a while since I started this project. It took too long to be f...

Kanny. Actually the objects are as close as possible. I just pushed them aside to show on the image. :)

Tim. I will work on these to see which approach will bring the best results. ;)

Thank you guys!

Baking Issues - Floaters

Hi everyone. I've been working on this model on 3ds max (I will post it here when done ;) ) and now I'm doing some bakes on SP. Everything baked perfectly, but the bolt heads inside the holes. I tried to increase/decrease frontal and rear distance, but it didn't work that much. I attached an image w...

Irregular Chamfer

Hi everyone!

I had a hard time trying to get an uniform chamfer on this edge.

I solved it by moving the vertices around (after using chamfer), but I would like to know if there is a better approach. ;)

Thank you

Re: Baking the Grenade's Engraved Characters

It worked!

The normals from the 'L' on the other side were flipped.

Thanks, Tim! :)
