Re: Projects that don't need own topic

Bump! :D Getting to know Maya after using 3ds Max for years. Pretty happy with my first practice. Just some Christmas wine and wooden box for it :) Wireframe shot can be found from the link below. I used Affinity Photo to create alphas and for rendering I used Marmoset Toolbag. https://www.artstatio...

Re: P22 Walther HandGun

I guess as long as both lowpoly with normals baked on it and highpoly mesh looks good.

Very cool! :ok: Would be interesting to know how you modeled some of those insets for the bolts.

Looks pretty nice. I like the poster-like image, looks very professional. Maybe we'll get too see the rest of the car some day? :icon_yes: Sure would look nice on a portfolio.
Thanks! I don't know about that :D I hope so.

Edit: Added two new images in the ArtStation page.

1987 Ferrari F40 Wheel

Hi everyone! :victory: I've wanted to model something car related for a long time, so I finally decided to create this F40 wheel. As far as I know these rims were originally made by Speedline for Ferrari. Modeled in 3ds Max. Baked and painted in Substance Painter. After that rendered in Marmoset Too...

So in conclusion no reason to switch to this? Although there might be less bugs.

Re: Projects that don't need own topic

Yes I know. I believe it's good enough at the moment. I dont see what's wrong with the noise. Brick's lowpoly is very simple (Chamfered box for two layers of highpoly bricks, which I duplicated). Plus there's half brick for sides so it doesn't look too flat. I did four different kind of highpoly bri...

Re: Projects that don't need own topic

Wow very nice Lauri! My only thought is that those little "speckle" details you put might add a bit too much noise on that. Those tiny details I think would be better to keep out of the highpoly. Especially because with Substance designer or Painter you can add that without a problem and then you a...

Re: Make this Cloth texture

I would say that it's possible to do this in Painter with custom alphas (Like for instance seamless pattern that has those small dots) if you just start to texture 1x1 square. And when the normals are done, just add some leather texture below everything else.
